Für villi i de Schwiiz isch de Mai wohrschinli en eifachere Monät, will er so vill Fiirtig het. Es fangt aa mit em erschte Mai, denn chunt d Uffahrt und villi hend au no de Friitig als Brügglitag frei und denn chunt Pfingschte. Nid z vergässe de Muettertag, wo immer am zweite Sunntig im Mai isch. Er isch also das Johr geschter, am 12. Mai gsi. Obwohl das immer a-mene Sunntig isch, isch das für villi Müettere en sehr schöne Tag und s git Grund zum fiire.
In Costa Rica isch das chli anders. Im Mai hend d Costaricaner lediglich am 1. Mai frei. Ich ha mich au scho gfrogt, wiso, dass si a Uuffahrt und am Pfingschtmäntig nid frei hend, will s jo eigentlich e katholischs Land isch. Aber will jo mini meischte Schtudente i de Schwiiz wohned, han ich mir s au gönnt de Dunnschtig vo Uffahrt plus de Friitig frei z mache...

Hey everyone! 🎉 Can you believe it's already been 4 years since we started our live lessons on YouTube? Time flies when you're having fun and learning something new, doesn't it? 🕰️✨
Back then, I kicked off these sessions to bring a piece of Swiss German right to your screens, and oh, what a journey it has been! From our very first lesson titled "How are you?" we've grown together, exploring the nuances of the language and embracing the culture.

In Costa Rica sind d Lüüt sehr hilfsbereit. Wenn mer i Not isch, chunt immer öpper z Hilf. Zum Bischpiil isch de Quad, wo-n-ich gha ha, scho zwei Moll uf de Schtross schtoh blibe wege-me mechanische Defekt und jedes Moll isch s nid lang gange, bis öpper zur Schtell gsi isch zum mir helfe. Ich bi zum Glück no nie i-n-en Umfall mit Verletzte verwicklet gsi. Aber ich bi scho a verschidene Auto- oder Töffumfäll verbiigfahre. Döt sind scho Lüüt oder de Chrankewage zur Hilf cho und ich ha mi nümm iigmischt. Aber ich bi sälber scho i Autoumfäll verwicklet gsi, wo eifach es Auto beschädigt...
